A nice quiet cafe with comfortable traditional furnishings n nice coffee with great cakes - the atmosphere is relaxing, quiet n just wonderful to take a break from hectic sightseeing or busy shopping sprees. Took a break exploring the bustling Takayama old crowded with both national and international tourists and transported to a different world at the inner courtyard of this cafe. A good place to settle down for a snack after a walk in the old streets. Their maccha based sweets are very much on spot in terms of taste, not too sweet or bitter. My recommendation would be the maccha fondue, it gives you many combinations you didn’t realize go well with maccha. There seems to be some waiting line, but can be pretty quick to enter.
