Beautiful cafe that is hidden within the bustle of the Takayama Old Town. We walked past it without noticing it as it doesn't have as much advertisement as the other places in the street. Atmosphere is impeccable, but the service could have been better. We entered in a group of nine, right behind two other guests, but instead of giving the two guests seats at the counter they took them to the big table and asked our group to split up in two as there were no other big tables left. This was such a delicious and nice cafe. The traditional yet modernized interior paired with the wagashi and matcha tea set was absolutely enjoyable.

The atmosphere inside was relaxing and was a nice getaway from the bustling streets. The dessert was so delicious, I had to hold back from ordering another set.
