Well Toshi , was in bad form tonight. After 6 of us booked in to this recommended restaurant for dinner, he proceeded to drink more himself and cater to the 3 locals at the bar than serving us with our meal. Over 2 hours, 4 small bites served onto our table by his hands into a dish.. not 5 star ! Tempura servings were a small bite. We had only 4 served of our 6 ordered after 2 hours . It was hard to get a beer served while we waited as well. We decided to leave and he presented an exorbitant bill including the food we did not receive. Trying to explain he did not serve us all the food ordered and it took so long Toshi could not even remember what he served us and he threatened to call the police along with having private jokes and laughing with locals about it right in front of us. Read moreVery disappointed in this restaurant. We booked 2 days in advance from reviews we had read and were really looking forward to eating here. From entering the restaurant we did not feel welcomed by being closed off in a separate room. We had a booking for 6pm and by 8:15 pm we had only received four small pieces of tempura. We questioned the chef because we were hungry but food still did not come as he seemed to be more intent on socialising with the three people at his bar. As the night progressed he appeared to become more inebriated. We were served 1 very small piece of tempura about every half hour. He also served each piece using his hands. We decided to leave without finishing the set course as everyone was starving. We paid for what we drank and the 4 pieces of Sushi each. He was very unhappy with this and very rude. At first, we had a bad impression of the place since we were foreigners and they only had a menu in Japanese, which made us a little uncomfortable at first. But we wanted to dine there and did our best to understand the menu. And what a success it was! I think we had one of the best experiences in a restaurant. Little by little, we started talking with both the chef and the rest of the people at the bar, and little by little things got better. They taught us how to eat some traditional dishes from there, how to prepare them, and they even explained products we don't have in Spain. It was simply incredible, one of the best experiences we had in Japan. We hope to return...
