さかばミツル — Restaurant in Tokyo

Even on a dreary night in ikebukuro while passing by we managed to recognise the warmth radiating from this little store that could be easily passed by. As we slid back the small wooden door we found ourselves in a small room with tables almost touching one another. Our order was taken by a kind waitress and relayed to a small woman behind the counter who fired up the barbecue.

The yakitori arrived fresh, perfectly scorched on the outside and soft and juicy inside. All skewers were generously loaded and care was taken oven the cooking of each individual stick. The menu had a moderate nihonshu collection and when I asked for a recommendation she was very helpful and we had a pleasant conversation. It was served traditionally overflown at the top with a smaller glass underneath.

For me, these small local places to me are what represent the best dining experiences in Japan. If you are looking for somewhere authentic with food that has been cooked with love for each ingredient, I cannot recommend a...

Omg! That was so good!! We accidentally walked into it too early but they still served us. I love chicken innards and the chicken is so amazing! It's a very quaint space only allowing for 4 small tables. We ate at least one of every skewer of whatever was offered for chicken then also ordered shishito peppers, quail eggs and sausages. Everything was soo good that we forgot to take pictures of them. We just ate them as soon as they came out! Definitely, a place for locals but as a traveller, they still...

ここの評価が物凄く良くてサクラもいなさそうだったから行ったのに、ぶっちゃけマイナス付けたい位に最悪だった💢 店に入った途端賑わっていたのに、急にシーンとされた。 周りの常連と思われる人は黙々とスマホいじってたり、ボーッとしてたり無言。 何も食べてない、注文もしない不気味さ。

チーズ入り卵焼きと焼き鳥数種類頼んだが、チーズ入りは微妙、焼き鳥もこの程度の大きさと味で1本200円は高すぎる。 そして変な臭みもあり、不味かった。

変なコスプレ店員の人もなんか痛々しい。 会計もノロノロしてて、イライラMAX。 こんな空間だったから食事も美味しく感じなかったかも。

とにかく、一見さんお断りな店です...
