DEL style Ikebukuro Higashiguchi by Daiwa Roynet Hotel — Hotel in Tokyo

I'll never stay at a Daiwa Roynet hotel again. We went to the front desk to check out and store our bags until we left Tokyo in the evening. "We don't store customer bags after check out," the staff responded. We were dumbfounded. Never in 7 years of travelling Japan has a premium hotel refused to take our bags.

We asked why, and she said that our bags would take up space for customers checking in. This is a 14F hotel with a massive reception. There is no reason for this policy. And at no point does Daiwa Roynet warn customers about this policy. We argued with the staff and eventually they offered to let us leave our bags "until 2pm". We received our bag receipt, which included the hotel's actual bag policy. It says that customers can leave their bags for up to 7 days free of charge. Which is completely incompatible with this ridiculous rule the Ikebukuro staff try to push.

The staff were rude and unapologetic, despite our interactions being in Japanese.

Nice hotel and all the hardware are new |Comes with usb port near to bed|Small yet practical space , bed is comfortable|Bathroom comes with a bathtub for my room type , and the fixture are toto brand ! Water pressure js good and I enjoy my shower and bath every night || Comes with complimentary drip coffee when you check in. Location is strategic which I always use exit East south passage when we are out and about but do note there’s no escalator for this exit||Nearby comes with drugstore and 24 hours open donji quote just few steps away, good for shopping ! 7-11 convenience store is at ground floor and there’s 2 family mart just around the corner||Overall a very recommended location and I will definitely return !
