I step into the realm of comparative review for this place because it was completely behind the intent of my visit. When I was staying in Taito, I fell in love with a soba shop there called ban'nin riki (万人力). Moving to Nerima, I was prepared to face losing a piece of my soul not having quick and easy access to that place anymore.
Still, I tried to find a replacement. Here, I have. Now, I was fully capable of red lettering this place before I even took my first bite because I'm pessimistic that way. I was then softened by the sounds of a shamisen. So, what about the noodles?
They were delicious. I had access to the same quality menma, red chili oil, and vinegar that brings this dish together for me. The broth is rich and the noodles are perfectly cooked. The egg is amazing when I bathe it into the broth. Noodles were very good. I ordered an egg in my ramen as wel as extra pork chashu. Another order for my girlfriend who wanted an egg in the spicy soup. Total? 1800¥ insane. For this kind of meal in other places I would expect $20+. In the states this goes for $30+. 10/10 will make this a stop in my yearly...

They serve it with a “perfectly hard-boiled egg”, the kind with flavors deep into the egg but with no ferrous sulfide around the egg yolk. The noodles were chewy, the soup wonderfully flavored, you order everything through a machine out front (after you choose your items, just insert cash), the interior quaint and, well, very Japanese, and the whole meal was significantly better than some of the best places I’ve been to in California’s Bay...
