This ramen place is very close to the Temple University Japan campus. So I tried it one day after work. It was a satisfying lunch at a great price.
You order the traditional way, with a ticket machine. There are photos. I picked the one that looked like it had extra slices of meat. I wish I had also gotten an egg in it, but I got a little overwhelmed while trying to make a choice.
Everyone was friendly and welcoming, but there was no English spoken. I sat at the counter and watched the chef as he prepped for the next day.
The ramen was good. Not the best I've had in Tokyo, but still better than anything I've ever had outside of Japan. The broth was clear and super flavorful, loaded with scallions. I added some of the chile paste to add a little kick. I should've ordered it spicy.
They use pork shoulder, as opposed to belly, and I liked that it was a little less fatty, but just as tender. I also really liked the greens, whatever they were, they tasted like fresh spinach.
They also give you a lot more nori seaweed sheets than most places. I still don't really understand what I'm supposed to do with the nori, but it tastes good. This time I wrapped it around bites of pork and some noodles, to make a kind on-the-fly hand roll.
I wish I had a bib, I ended up with a mess all over my shirt from slurping up the deliciousness. A good place, very clean and bright. Don't hesitate...

Read moreお上品な家系ラーメン。 気づいたら汁が無くなってる。この絶妙な塩っぱさがクセになる。
今回は初めてなので普通普通普通を頼んだが、普通普通油多めがベストだと感じた。 麺は普通で結構固め。歯応え抜群で最高の茹で加減!ありがとう店主。 私は普段固めで頼むのだが、普通でちょうど良かった。 スープはとても上品。 醤油が強めではあるが、決して塩っぱすぎず奥深い味わい。 麺との相性が抜群。重くなくスルスルといける。 ついつい、飲み干しそうになる塩加減と旨さに、れんげが進む進む。 濃いめにすると濃すぎちゃう気がするので濃さは普通がお勧め。 普段家系ラーメン好きな方だと、油は少し物足りないかも。普通だとほうれん草に絡む油がちと少ない。油多めをお勧めする。
チャーシューはトロッッッットロ! 三茶界隈では1番美味しいチャーシューではなかろうか? チャーシュー大盛りでご飯と一緒にかき込みたい。
ご飯はかためのパラパラ系。 スープに絡んで口の中でほどけるごはん粒、、。 幸せったらこの上ない。 ラーメン屋のごはんはこれでなくちゃ!!
ちなみにご飯とスープとの相性は、ひとつ物足りない。ご飯を合わせて頼む方は、油の量「多め」がベストだろう。 チャーシューとスープとご飯を一緒に頬張ったら天国よ。 とっぴんぐで生卵もあったらなぁ。卵かけご飯にこのスープとチャーシュー、絶対最高。
個人的にとても好きな家系ラーメンだった。 しかも安い。ラーメン並とご飯つきで1000円。ありがてえええ、、、。
次は麺普通、濃さ普通、油多め、チャーシュー麺、ご飯付き、で再戦決定♡ マー油と辛麺も気になるので何度も来なければ笑
