Found this place whilst waking to the nearby station, it was really quiet at 12:10 and has a lovely atmosphere as soon as you walk in. The staff were really polite + the selection of doughnuts is a decent size and pretty unique flavours (pistachio etc). Seating upstairs is such a nice atmosphere with really well thought out decor, with the light streaming through the window in the afternoon it’s the perfect place to just sit quietly and enjoy a latte (their matcha is also pretty good, it could be a bit greener but definitely not bad.) The aesthetics are undeniable, but I asked myself, is this a donut? Definitely deep fried, chewy, doughy, and tasty but not the “donut” I had in mind the day I was craving a donut. Not to mention pricey in the sense that you have a minimum of 2 pastries (donuts) for takeaway and each one costing around 400-500 yen. Looks pleasant, but will not allow you to buy fewer than two items for takeaway. This is not customer service.

Despite being contacted about this policy, the store defends it! A takeaway purchase asks nothing of the business. I am not taking space in your shop. Not only that, but I am paying you for a product. A company which doesn’t allow customers to buy their desired number of products has an inflated and conceited...

I went to this little bakery that was selling these small custard-filled puffs, and they were absolutely delicious! I got the original and the pistachio, and I will definitely be going back for more. The staff are very kind and it wasn’t crowded when I went (even though it was a weekend), so I was able to get a seat upstairs without a problem.
