Was in Chiyoda couple Fridays back, and decided to stop in to try the ramen at the famous 三馬路 東京店 to celebrate July 4th 🗽
They open kind of late for a ramen joint, which is posted to be 12:00pm. I arrived at 11:24am and there was one person who was already waiting.
Few minutes later, the line grew and grew and grew. But to my surprise, the doors opened at 11:30am, and after the first person waiting bought their meal tickets from the vending machine, it was my turn.
I chose the Special Salt Soba [ 特製塩そば ] for 1400 yen, which includes a boiled egg and 2 shrimp wontons.
Also ordered their Pork Rice Bowl for 400 yen.
Waited less than 15 minutes sitting at my seat, which was much better than the sweltering heat outside, and then I was served.
The ramen easily lived up to the hype- it was superb. The shrimp wontons were delicious and very supple, as was the slices of chashu and chicken.
The pork rice bowl was very yummy and highly recommend ordering this as well.
I finished around 12:00pm and when I left, the line was already 10+ long.
For such a tasty ramen, in such a bustling area of Tokyo, you don't need to wait hours and hours to get a really wonderful meal.
You should have this place on your radar- you won't be disappointed.
Thank you for a...

■ My Thoughts
After working hard (as usual!), I decided to treat myself with some ramen at Kanda Station. I went to the super popular “Sanmalo” and ordered their special Shio Soba for the first time🏃
One sip of the soup and the gentle seafood flavors totally won me over. The ultra-thin noodles have way more bite than they look and go perfectly with the broth. There’s a porcini & shiitake mushroom paste in the center, and as you mix it in, the soup transforms and gets this deep, truffle-like flavor—so fun! When you add the chopped yuzu, the broth takes on a whole new vibe with its fresh aroma and sweet-sour kick. There are two types of chashu, both super juicy and tender, with no shortcuts taken. The quality is so high, it’s absolutely worth the wait. By the time I finished, I was already a fan. Next time, I want to try their kombu water tsukemen or their soy sauce...

Arrived at around 15 minutes before its opening hour for the evening time slot and managed to get in the shop in the first round.
The decor of the shop is quite refined for a ramen shop, which is echoed in the presentation of the konbusuitsukemen. The konbusuitsukemen is elegantly presented and thus very enticing. The taste also matches its elegant presentation; excellent chewy and supple noodles matched with the refreshing allure of...
