村田商會 — Restaurant in Tokyo

Love the vibe here. It's a tiny Japanese showa retro cafe(=kissaten) run by a lovely and kindhearted couple. I like their "Udon Napolitan" but today I tried their dainty Japanese cheese cake which I quickly finished in a few minutes, haha. They sell vintage porcelain, baking molds, kitchen tools, glassware and furniture. Some of them are displayed outside their shop and inside as well. No need to eat-in if you just want to browse and look around some vintage goods. You could be a bit surprised by the retro Japanese restroom but it's something you rarely see these day. All in all you can experience the whole Showa era...

About a dozen seats at a corner I often go past, but maybe it looks more like a kitchenware shop than a coffee shop? Lots of silverware and cups and such for sale. Even some little dining tables outside. Again hard-pressed to capture the atmosphere... Kind of European mixed with bric-a-brac? No Wi-Fi or charging.

Not sure why I felt like the rare cheese cake set, but it was a very nice cheesecake with a creamy flavorful top and a chocolate bottom. Coffee was also excellent. Willing to call it a high four stars even...

Good retro Japanese vibes and with only 1000 yen you can get one desserts and one drink. Pudding was very good. Not the typical sugary sweet caramel but was rich and slightly bitter. Cheesecake was rare...
