焼き鳥 鳥たん 新宿店 — Restaurant in Tokyo

Yakitori Toritan Shinjuku, about a 3-minute walk from Shinjuku 3-chome Station, is a Izakaya serving specialities like chicken yakitori and beef tongue. You can only locate this Izakaya in its Japanese name 焼き鳥 鳥たん 新宿店 on google map.

We found that the chicken yakitori was fresh and juicy cause they were made with domestic chicken. The other speciality was the beef tongue. Locals really love love ❤️ beef tongue yakitori. We have tried the popular Yakiniku Beef Tongue Lemon Shinjuku (17 mins walk) few nights before and honestly we liked the lemon beef tongue texture and taste a bit more. The beef tongue from both stores were tender however the lemon marinate did compliment the beef tongue perfectly. Anyway, we ordered few other dishes but we were not impressed with the taste. The service was at a ok level, we did not feel the courtesy of the waitress. Also we still could not have the gut to try the beef tongue or chicken sashimi. However, if we could be brave enough to let the unusual culinary experience tantalize our taste buds, maybe we might elevate our gourmet experience to a new horizon.

After having had a quick meal here, we took a stroll around the neighborhood. My goodness, there were hundreds of izakayas around for us to choose from. Every one of them were packed with salarymen or tourists or locals. Laughters and conversations filled up the crispy night air. If we were not full from dinners we could have joined the drinking crowds and enjoyed the unique and joyful ambiance only be found in casual Japanese Izakaya. 絶対食べて欲しいのは牛たん串！ 厚切りの牛たんをじっくり火入れして、 ずばっと串2本分にカット。 ぷるっとしたたまらん断面。噛むとサクサクっと歯切れが良くてめちゃめちゃおいしい🤤

ガーリック塩で食べる特上牛たんもおすすめ。 一頭から100gしか取れない部分のようです。

たん刺しは薄切りでしっとり柔らかいけど歯応えも兼ね備えてて最高です。

そして焼き鳥もレベルが高い！ ひとくしが大きめで食べ応えあり。 特におすすめはレバーのタレ✨ 口に入れると大ぶりのレバーがトロける〜🤤

ドリンクは良心的なお値段！ 単品飲み放題もあります。 鳥たんサワーはトマトシャーベット入りの梅サワー。飲めば超スッキリで牛たんや焼き鳥と相性抜群です🔥

締めのTKGはフライドオニオン、ネギ、とろろ昆布が乗っており、タレは少し甘めでこれまためちゃうま⚡️
