An excellent Japanese restaurant, serving dishes in a traditional "Kaiseki" (Haute cuisine) style. Usually your meal will consist of a number of courses, each served in small dishes and artfully arranged. If you don't speak Japanese, this restaurant is worth visiting with someone who can, as staff can and will explain each dish to you, and a wide variety of ingredients are used from different parts of the country. As well as excellent food, a good selection of Sake, shochu and other alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks are available. Vegetarian options or variations of each course can be prepared, although it might be worth calling ahead to let the restaurant know. Space is limited, but separate rooms are available for groups. 202205月 白子の天ぷら。この店ではいつも白子頼んじゃう。この日は何魚の白子だったか。いろんな魚の白子が楽しめる。 20211月 生牡蠣がむちゃくちゃ美味かった!!厚岸の近くの昆布森の牡蠣とか。濃厚で余韻が残りまくるミルクを通り越してバターか。日本酒で合わせて日本酒一口目、濃厚な牡蠣を白鶴錦の純米大吟醸が牡蠣の濃厚さを流しつつ酒の甘さを感じながらもまだ残る濃厚な牡蠣風味。二口目でだいぶ牡蠣の味を流したがまだ残る風味。3口目ここで牡蠣の味を流しきったたが普通の牡蠣の一口目がこの感じ。それだけ濃厚な牡蠣。しばらく放心状態になるほど最高のペアリングでした。 あと、白子の天ぷらも美味かったーー
