Aen Mejiro — Restaurant in Tokyo

Excellent meal, the ingredients are obviously carefully selected, reflected in the flavors. The presentation is superb as well.

We had the Summer Bamboo Basket Feast Set pictured below which blew our minds. Included a lovely salad starter with fruity vinegar type dressing and a wappameshi (egg and crunchy veggies mixed rice - superb). Our second order was another specialty, Steamed Oshan Pork with 2 dipping sauces and tuna sashimi over grated daikon. A dessert of matcha Bavarian cream which was an absolute knockout to close out the meal. All for the very underpriced 5200 yen. Definitely returning here. Highly recommended. Expect long lines...

This is it ! This place has a very positive interior, a lot of space and big glass window/door for ample outside light with a beautiful western instrumental music (probably jazz but not live , just radio). Food was very tasty with pretty nice presentation. I asked the waiter for the osusume( special) dish and he suggested me【休日】網焼きランチキ (roasted pork with soup and rice@ 1580¥) and it was damn delicious. Whenever in this area, better try this place and refresh...

味は良くなった。高齢者には酷い。

少し自分はワクワク感がないのですが、アジは安定して外れはないとの印象です。味は一時期よりは正直良い。しかし成城とか目白の駅前の店は、家賃が高いせいか苦労しているのだろうなという店が多いが、あえんもそういう所は特に感じる店。メニューには工夫がありますので、女性の方が方向性としては満足度が高くなるでしょうか。…其の後、何回か利用したが、土曜日の、予約は前の日受けるのは良いとして、いつも空きが出るような13時過ぎに予約しても、高齢者や弱者に特に酷い店なので、行きたくないのが本音になってきたこの頃である。

…料理はうまいのにである。つまり『食べ物』を見て『食』を提供することを、店長も経営者も全く理解していない点は、不変。…旬香亭やあさづま、ぞろ芽などとは違う点だろう。

…やんわり言っても、店員は誰一人理解しない店で、…対応にはホスピタリティがないのでザラザラした気持ちになる。（目白の地元民には旬香亭やぞろ芽のように愛され支えられないだろうし、つらい時期に経営が乗り越えられるのか。『いい店だから残して上げたい』とまで考え抜きなさいなどとは申しませんが…...
