Caribbean restaurant sunny cafe — Restaurant in Tokyo

We had lunch there. I had the vegan meal (I appreciated they had one as not every restaurant offers non-meat options), and my colleagues had the jerk chicken and the fish. All of them were flavourful and well presented. They were a bit spicy, too, as expected from Carribean cuisine. Quanity-wise, they could be a bit larger.

The restaurant is pretty (I liked the woodwork) and not too large (I counted five tables for a bit less than 20 people in total). Overall, I liked the venue. My only complaints are that it can get a bit smelly from the kitchen and pretty hot (I presume because of the glass windows).

Price-wise, it was reasonably priced for lunch in the area at just under JPY1,000 for the vegan and jerk-chicken meals and around JPY1,500 for the fish meal.

The service was polite and friendly...

お店イチオシの名物「ジャークチキンプレート」980円をオーダー。 国産鶏のもも肉と胸肉を10種類以上のスパイスで漬け込んで焼き上げたジャークチキン・お米に北海道のゆめぴりかを使ったジャマイカ風豆ごはん（ライス＆ピーズ）・フライドポテト・ピクルス・グリーンサラダのワンプレート。 それなりに多いジャークチキンの量に対してごはん少なめ。 肝心のジャークチキンの味だが、スパイシーというより塩味が強いだけで鶏の旨味が感じられず、お供である豆ごはんにも塩味が付いており、フライドポテトもじゃがいもの甘さを引き出してホクホクに揚げているのに塩かけすぎで台無し。グリーンサラダはドレッシングの味が強く、味の逃げ場がピクルスしか無く、非常に食べ疲れて喉が渇く…。 他の方の口コミでも同様の指摘があるので、常時この傾向ということなのだろう。
