Cat Cafe Calico — Restaurant in Tokyo

I recently visited Neko Café Calico in Kichijoji, and it was such a heartwarming and relaxing experience. This is not just a regular cat café—it’s a rescue cat café, which means all the cats here are looking for loving forever homes.

There were more than 25 cats during my visit, including some adorable kittens. Since this is a rescue-based café, the cats come and go as they get adopted, so you’ll likely meet different cats each time you visit. I found that really meaningful—it's not just about playing with cats, it's about supporting their journey to a better life.

The atmosphere was calm and cozy, and the staff were kind and helpful. The space was very clean, and you can tell the cats are well cared for and loved. Some were playful, others were just napping peacefully, which made for a perfect relaxing afternoon.

Whether you're thinking about adopting a cat, or you just want to spend time with them, I highly recommend visiting. Even if you're not planning to adopt, simply spending time with the cats helps support them.

I love this place so much!!! It's super cozy and warm and relaxing, I've being with my husband while he plays the switch and I read manga/books and it's so nice to have the cats make you company❤️ they're so sweet and cute and loving, I always buy the chicken to give them snack. They even gave us a book with the pics and names of every cat to know about them and their personality!🥰 The beverages are unlimited refill and there's a lot of options, plus there's plenty of seats that are super comfortable! Highly recommend it!!

Small neko cafe with a good atmosphere. It looks clean and doesn't smell. The cats get spaces where they can escape if they don't want to interact with people.

Most of them are very patient with people. They're apparently around 5-10 years old so they're pretty quiet and sleep a lot. The cafe have quite a lot of tall and fluffy cats.
