Chōya Ebisu — Restaurant in Tokyo

The lady who's working here is not accommodating maybe even rude, don't know if it's intentional. I asked twice if we can sit somewhere else and she just ignored my request and motioned for us to go to the table where she wants us to sit. She puts all the plates so carelessly on the table that it looks like it can fall down any minute. Look at the photos I attached here. The food here is the authentic “Chinese Flavor.” People who are used to Japanese flavor might feel the taste here is a bit too greasy and spicy.

The lady who works here is nice. She is only available in Japanese and Mandarin, so English may not work here. What I can tell is that she is trying her best to help as much she is available. (She is just a part-time worker here, what do you expect from a restaurant that provides 900¥ lunch? Btw, you are in Japan; if English doesn’t work, try Japanese. I tried their spicy noodle several times, and every time it is not spicy… so I asked them to make it extra spicy and… it’s still not spicy… lol

I haven’t tried other menu there but their 坦々面 ain’t spicy either. But it’s fast and reasonable so not too bad.

Planning to visit again, maybe for different one next time…

Update- Went there on Monday during the lunch time. It was way too oily and the lady didn’t say a word ( didn’t say price, thank you, no nothing ) until I leave the restaurant. I think I don’t really have reasons to...
