I recently had lunch at this lovely restaurant near Inokashira Park, and it was a delightful experience! The ambiance is wonderful, with a cozy and relaxed atmosphere, perfect for a weekday lunch. I ordered the pork shabu shabu salad set lunch, and it was absolutely delicious. The ingredients were fresh, and the flavors were well-balanced.

The restaurant has a healthy menu with a variety of options, catering to different dietary preferences. I also enjoyed the jazz music playing softly in the background, adding to the overall relaxing vibe.

Hachijuhachiya is a hidden delight in Kichijoji that not many people know about, despite its great location less than 5 minutes walk from the station. ㊙️

It focuses on natural & organic food & drink and offers reasonable lunch sets and a wide selection of dishes for dinner. Atmosphere is homely, warm and the staff are informative and helpful with their recommendations. 🧑🏻‍🍳

I dropped by at 5pm on a weekday to check out their latest seasonal menu and was drawn to their desserts. 👀

Their yuzu scented caramel nut tart is delicious! With an almond tart base (with yuzu peel mixed into the dough) the fragrance of yuzu spreads through your nostrils with each bite. 🍋

On top there are 3 types of caramelized nuts (pecan, almond, walnut) providing different levels of chewiness, crunch and textures. Fresh cream & yuzu peel was a nice way to accentuate the flavour. 😋

Coffee was ground from Ethiopian beans, with a strong aroma and full body, making it a good pairing with this tart. ☕️

I will have to come back and try their other desserts, as there are always new seasonal items! 🔁

Dogs are also allowed inside which is a bonus for pet owners who are hungry after walking through Inokashira park, which is just a stone's throw away. 🐕🙆🏻‍♂️🆗
