We have been trying all sorts of food in and around Japan for the last few months. It's hard to say whats the best here or what's the best there. It's extremely hard to say what's the best food we've had over all. So we've decided to do what's the best of a certain category. In first place in the rice bowl category, is this spot without a doubt.
This is by far the absolute best katsudon we've had without compare. I would say that the katsu is great, 8/10 but... But the shrimp... Holy goodness. That's a 10/10. Perfect, so perfect we ordered an extra 5.
The portion size was perfect, I just wanted more shrimp as it was addicting. I would say prepare for a wait if you're trying to get in before 7pm (1900 hours). We waited for about 15 minutes but it was absolutely worth it.

There are two kinds of katsu served here; the original fatty pork meat (tonkatsu) and sliced lean meat (hirekatsu). Both taste great, with the orginal being more juicy than the healtier alternative. Nevertheless, the lean meat katsu has more meat per mass.
