Coffee Oka Garage — Restaurant in Tokyo

I came by myself around midafternoon and there was maybe one other free seat there. Another couple who turned up later had to wait for a seat. Most people were there with at least one other person, and quite a few of them had their motorbikes parked in the garage. It felt a bit like I was intruding when I first got there but everyone is just there to just chill so don't worry about it.

Ambience felt kind of like an old-school, classy, pub but without the cigarettes and violent drunks, and clean with tasteful lighting. I loved the coffee machine in the center, and there's a roaster in the corner too so you can tell that they're serious about the coffee. I thought it might be a bit awkward facing the barrister the whole time but it was really interesting to watch him make the coffee and serve it up.

Price is slightly higher than average but I enjoyed my coffee and cake. I'm guessing the rum raisins were home made too and I found them to be a nice touch to the...

The coffee here is absolutely delicious and the owners are clearly very passionate about it! I had the espresso jelly which came with an espresso on the side as well, and the owner was nice enough to talk me through everything that went onto the plate. It's by far the best coffee jelly I've ever had. Great vibe to the place as well - quiet and cool. (I can speak some Japanese, but the owners made an effort to speak some English to me which was kind! The menu is Japanese, so if you can't read katakana I recommend having a translator app handy, or the menu is available online so you can figure out what you want...

This is one of my favorite coffee spots in all of Tokyo. It is very unique in its approach and design, that it’s hard not to like. To be honest, the espresso machine is unlike anything I’ve seen, and the pour over method a bit unconventional too. But that’s what makes it cool and the coffee is delicious. They have desserts as well, and I tried the baked cheesecake which was excellent. The u-shaped counter gives it a more homey vibe, like you’re sitting at the counter of your own kitchen.
