CONA — Restaurant in Tokyo

I was the first customer in there for Happy Hour. I had 2 pizzas, 3 beer and a serving of chips I didn't mean to ask for, 2 complimentary pizza bites as a welcome, and a mandatory cover charge. I started with a black olive and anchovy pizza with a draft Carlsberg in an empty shop. I asked one of the staff what she was doing with the chips, and she chalked up my order. I couldn't see any anchovies on the pizza, but they were definitely there. Then the truffle salt chips arrived with my second Carlsberg. When I finished those, I quickly asked for a gorgonzola maple syrup pizza and a beer cassis. The cheese on the pizza was stronger than described, but still not full strength. I poured the maple syrup myself, and tried to eat it quickly because the joint was filling up quickly. Google says this place is not too busy on a Thursday at 7:00, but Google is wrong. The place was nearly full with a senior couple, salary men, college students, dating couples, and me. What I liked best is that no matter how busy it got, Misa, one of the servers found time to wipe down each and every page of the laminated menus. There is an English copy of the menu available, and the place serves many different types of beer and spirits. There's a section on the menu for garlic lovers: Prawn (I think), mushroom, asparagus, etc. If I have time, I will go back and try that section with a pizza or two....

Arrived at noon on a Wednesday and the shop was half full. Mix of locals and salary men. The one waitress and chef were working so fast and very attentive. Cheese platter and garlic chorizo pizza were solid for 1050💴 Pizza is extremely thin crust, perfect for a light lunch. No 300💴 table charge for lunch I guess? Awesome spot🤙 Can pay...

Quite an amazing place for budget 500 yen whole pizzas. Surprisingly better than that thing they call a pizza at Domino's Japan especially for the price. Good variety and cospa. Go in the afternoon to waive the table charge. Good staff. Pretty good pizza for 500 yen. Don't expect Naples. Expect 500 yen and you will be...
