I came across this restaurant by luck actually, was just walking on the street and saw the “all you can eat eggs”, I found it a curious concept and decided to have lunch here.
They have only ramen and rice with meat on the menu. You can chose if you want thick or thin noodles, I choose thin noodles, you get 2 thick pieces of pork, a (delicious) marinated egg, as I’ve said before there’s a pile of raw eggs on the table and you can eat as many as you want and are able to 😂 some delicious homemade spices and also free nori.
The ramen as delicious, it was quite a big portion and all the flavours were nice. I decided to add one egg and some spices to my bouillon and it only enhanced the flavour. The meat and Japanese rice was also delicious, very aromatic.
Best thing about this place is really the flavour and second best is the price, it was really cheap, less than 2000 yen for this food. Service is agile, it’s not a place where you gonna have long conversations if you go with friends but to eat and go away. I personally really enjoyed the whole vibe....
Read moreI went to Damena Rinjin in Shinjuku alone on a late weekday night after reading some great reviews online—and it absolutely lived up to the hype. This place is a hidden gem for ramen lovers! The vibe is relaxed and low-key, with a bit of that cool, local Tokyo feel. It wasn’t too crowded when I arrived, and the staff were super friendly and efficient.
The ramen came out incredibly fast—perfect for a late-night craving—and it was seriously one of the best bowls I had during my trip to Japan. Rich, flavorful broth with just the right depth, chewy noodles cooked perfectly, and the toppings were on point. It was simple but packed with umami and heart. And the price? Super affordable, especially for the quality you get.
You can tell this spot cares about the food, not just the hype. Definitely worth going a bit off the tourist track for. I’d go back in a heartbeat. Highly recommend if you’re in Shinjuku and want amazing, no-nonsense ramen that...
Read moreThis restaurant is nearby our hotel. We had meandered along the lanes exploring the neighbourhood shops and came across this place with long queue that spilled over to rhe street. That is an almost certain indication that the food here is amazing. We were to hungry to queue having arrived from the airport just a short while ago. However, later that evening, we came by for dinner and the queue was very short. The ramen and soba were delicious and my nephew said the beef was really good too. The place was tiny inside and diners just come here for the great food and immediately vacate their seats once they have eaten. The seatings are arranged in a bar like environment with high chairs. The service was prompt and efficient and the food,...
