Among countless sushi omakase restaurants in Tokyo, Ebisu sushi Hatsume stands out for me because of its affordability and accessible online reservation. For their unique dishes - the mayo with the shrimp and salmon starters tasted smooth and full of flavor; ebi mayo with tomato chilli sauce was too good to describe and stole the show; aburi anago is pleasantly different from the typical version at other restaurants; instead of the usual tamago dessert, sorbet and matcha pudding were absolutely amazing.
The overall quality and taste of the nigiri’s are what you can expect, fresh and well prepared. I enjoyed the meal and will root for restaurants like this given how affordable it is without compromising quality, especially among the fierce competition of omakase shops. I thoroughly enjoyed the innovative dishes and hope the young chef will hone his craft to make the experience even better in the future.

Chef Haruya, a young yet remarkably skilled chef, showcased impeccable mastery and attention to detail across all 22 courses of the omakase. With grace, he prepared each dish before our eyes, politely explaining their components before serving it to us.
Every bite was a moment to savour, the fish was of exceptional quality, with flavours and textures that felt almost otherworldly. The progression of courses was beautifully balanced, highlighting his creativity.
