South Korea home cooking Sonamu — Restaurant in Tokyo

I’ve always had a great experience ordering from Sonamu Ebisu via UberEats until today. Dishes were always matching what was pictured. I ordered a few dishes but one of them was Bibimpap. I’m Korean and seeing this was shocking! Photo of how it should be, Photo of how I received it (untouched) - no radish, no eggs, barely any kungnamul, mess. Instead of writing a review without giving a chance, I called their restaurant at 19:00 10/19 and a gentleman just says “Ok”…. That’s it. I asked if he’s going to tell the owners this he says “ok”. That’s it. He doesn’t ask for my details he said just this comment feedback is fine as anonymous. If the owners are Korean, I’m sure they wouldn’t accept this kind of service....

I had the bibimbap which was tasty and plentiful. All of the dishes we had quite large -mostly because of the large portion of rice- and tasty.

We sat on the wooden floor in the raised area of the restaurant, which was fun as I don't often get to eat sitting down (maybe this was why I also found it uncomfortable).

Service was fairly polite. The restaurant was busy during lunchtime, and I was impressed by how much the staff wandered around to tend to customers and collect empty plates.

The venue feels quite welcoming, with the stone and wood all around, and was kept at a pleasant temperature although the day was warm.

Pretty straight forward, affordable Korean food. Lunch has multiple donburi sets and staple Korean comfort food like Bibimbap and Sandobu. In the evening the place is mainly a hot-pot place and all tables have the pot built into them. Prices hover around the 900 JPY for lunch and portions are big - you can also enlarge your rice for no extra charge.
