Great grilled fish. You pick from typically 10+ menu items and they grill it fresh on coals. The saba(Spanish mackerel) is fantastic and if you are looking to splurge, go for the most expensive item(JPY 1,450)(I can't remember what it is called).

Their saikyo yaki(sweet umami rich marinade) gindara is great, but a bit small.

All the lunch sets are paired with some pickled veggies, rice and miso.

Love the grilled fish they serve here! My go-to menu would be the set menu with miso-grilled shima hokke, simply delicious and fulfilling with less than 1000yen budget. Other than that, their salmon bara, torohokke, and other fish menus are also good choice. If you don't fancy fish, they have pork (and chicken ?) menus too. The place is cramped especially on lunch and dinner hours, so be prepared to be yhere with some queue or...

It was lunch time so we had to wait a little while for a table. You pick what you want from the menu, then pay, you'll be given a little wooden number and line up until you get your table and order. The meal was great and the smell of the food rivaled only by the smokey smell of the kitchen. Our fish was nicely charred but still juicy.
