This hotel was incredible overall and 5 stars all around! We stayed here to celebrate our anniversary for 5 nights at the start of our 3 week long Japan trip. At the end of the trip we kept saying how we wished we just stayed there the whole 3 weeks. It was so nice. The location is outside of the hustle and bustle of Tokyo in an area called Toranomon Hills which is more of a business area. There is a metro station connected under the hotel so you don't have to walk outside in heat, cold or rain though so it's easy to access. The general area around the hotel is so peaceful with many temples and other sights within walking distance. You can also walk to Tokyo Tower from there as well. We truly enjoyed the peacefulness of it all. The breakfast buffet here was one of our favorite parts of our trip. The variety and fresheness were top notch. It was the best breakfast we had of all of our hotels in Japan and that is saying a lot when you compare to other top hotels we stayed at. The best part of the breakfast though was the Assistant Manager of the Tavern Restaurant- Firdaus. This gentleman was so kind and willing to assist us and all of the other guests with a smile and speed. You could tell he truly enjoyed his job and he is an amazing example of customer service. The room we had was the Tokyo Tower King Room. The view was spectacular, the bed was comfortable. We had so much space! This is like a room in the USA and not compact size like in Japan. The bathroom was also huge with a giant tub too. My favorite feature was the Dyson hair dryer. The spa and fitness center at this hotel is also incredible. We had one rainy day and decided to stay inside and relax there and it was comparable to going to a paid spa but was included with the hotel price. Another great thing is that they have happy hour daily with drinks and snacks and also live music in the restaurant too. They also have a rooftop bar for chilling out. I want to give another example of how amazing this hotel is when it comes to service. This would never happen here in the USA. We purchased eyeglasses at a local shop and they were supposed to be ready prior to our departure from Japan. Unfortunately, the shop got delayed and we left without our glasses. I was so sad but I told the shop owner to send them to the Andaz and we would figure it out with them because the shop did not do international shipping. I called the Andaz and Ryo Mizushima, the front office representative, was kind enough to help us. I sent her a label and she shipped the glasses all the way to the USA for me. I was so grateful for her help! This hotel also has spectactular housekeeping and bell staff too. They forwarded our luggage seamlessly to Kyoto with no issues or paperwork to fill out. If you are looking for a true 5 star experience in Tokyo, do not hesitate to check out the Andaz! Thank...

Read moreWe recently stayed at the Andaz Tokyo for six nights in a Tower View Standard Room via Hyatt Prive, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish.
Check-In and Lobby: The check-in process was smooth and efficient. The lobby is stunning, spacious, and offers breathtaking views of Tokyo from almost every angle. The staff at the ground level were incredibly helpful, taking care of our luggage and arranging taxis when needed. They even assisted with translations for destinations if you don't have the GO! App, which was invaluable.
Lobby Area: You take an elevator to the 51st floor for the main lobby, and then another elevator to access the rooms located on floors 46-50. The lobby area offers snacks every day and complimentary drinks and appetizers from 5-7 pm, which was a lovely touch.
Amenities: The spa, gym, and pool are located on the 37th floor. We used the gym a few times and were impressed with the extensive range of equipment and the incredible views of Tokyo. Although we didn’t use the pool or spa, they looked fantastic and well-maintained.
Food and Dining: We dined for breakfast every morning at their Tavern and Grill. It was complimentary if you booked via Hyatt Prive or the Amex Hotel and Fine Resorts program. Otherwise, it costs 6,600 yen for a buffet breakfast. In addition to the buffet section, you could order à la carte. Everything was delicious, though more variety at the buffet each day would have been nice.
The Andaz Roof Bar was also fantastic, offering high-end drinks and an amazing view. I recommend making reservations here as it can get packed. They even provide blankets when it’s colder out, which adds a nice touch to the experience.
Room: Our room was spacious by Tokyo standards and beautifully decorated. While the green carpet might be a bit controversial, it grew on us over time. As a special touch for our anniversary, we were greeted with a welcome bottle of red wine. The beds were comfortable, though the pillows could have been better. Each room is equipped with a bidet, and the shower is large with excellent water pressure and a bathtub. The views of Tokyo, especially the tower at night, are spectacular and are a significant draw of the hotel. I highly recommend opting for this room type or higher for the best experience.
Service: The standout feature of this hotel is undoubtedly the service. Having stayed at many high-end hotels, I can confidently say that the service here is top-notch. The staff strike the perfect balance of being attentive without being overly gracious, always anticipating your next need while giving you the space you require.
I highly recommend the Andaz Tokyo for anyone visiting the city. It’s well worth the price and offers an...
