The Okura Heritage Wing Tokyo — Hotel in Tokyo

The Heritage Wing at the Okura is a standalone building right next to the larger, Okura "Prestige" Hotel . Though both hotels are part of the same hotel - shared amenities, restaurants, etc., I was told the Heritage Wing is nicer and more luxurious - all rooms come with steam sauna, fully stocked and complimentary daily free refills of minibar (water, iced tea, green and Hojicha, nespressos, fruit juices, 4 different beers, chips, nuts, etc.).

Our room must have been 650 sq. ft+ in downtown Tokyo - which is a nice luxury - and overlooking the Okura Garden. The overall hotel stays was, one of, if not the nicest hotel stays ever considering the hospitality, luxury, cleanliness, and all the little details, done immaculately in the spirit of Japanese excellence. After check-in, the staff walked us up and gave us a tour of our room, provided us gifts (waiting for us in the room), and showed how to operate curtains, lights, sauna, and the "butler" button. Moments after settling in, another member of the staff came by with green tea and cookies. These are just some of the nice touches that made our stay feel comfortable and special - especially after long flights and a young kid in tow.
