We recently stayed at the ANA InterContinental Hotel Tokyo and booked the 1 King Single Mizu Suite with Club Lounge Access for our family of four. Even though we were traveling with kids, we booked everyone as adults just to make sure the reservation covered us and everything was set up exactly as requested. The hotel itself is in a very convenient location, close to several subway lines and within walking distance of attractions like Tokyo Midtown and the Roppongi area. ||As a Platinum IHG member, I didn’t receive an upgrade, but we were granted a 12 p.m. late checkout when asked, which we appreciated while juggling last-minute packing. We would have liked a little bit longer, but the hotel could not accommodate, likely because the hotel charges for late checkouts according to their website. They also did call the room a few times as we got close to 12 p.m., which felt a bit strict, but seems typical for how punctual and structured things tend to be in Japan.||The Mizu Suite had been recently renovated and felt modern, spacious, and thoughtfully designed. It’s arranged in an L-shape, with one side for the king bed and the other for the living room area. There’s no door between the two sections, but the layout still gave us enough room to spread out without feeling cramped. Each section also had its own thermostat, but the one in the living room was a little quirky. It would turn off on its own a few times and one time it reset to the highest temperature on there. Luckily we caught that quickly and readjusted it. The sofa bed and rollaway were already made up when we arrived, which was a huge help after a long flight. We also appreciated the generous storage space, clean lines, and calming, minimalist style throughout the suite. The bathroom was large, sleek, and well-lit, with separate shower and tub areas, and stocked with quality amenities. ||We arrived quite early ahead of check-in time due to our morning flight, but the hotel made it easy to settle in. We were able to check in at the Club Lounge since we booked a suite, where the staff welcomed us with beverages and held our bags until the room was ready. While we waited, they even helped us book a last-minute lunch reservation at Nobu, just a 10-15 minute walk away. That level of service made a great first impression.||We ended up making good use of the Club Lounge throughout our stay. It's a bright, spacious space with comfortable seating and panoramic city views. One thing to note, there are restrictions on when children can access the 35th floor lounge, and the alternative 36th floor lounge for families was always closed when we checked, so that part was a bit confusing. Once inside, the afternoon tea was a real standout, served in individual towers that felt elegant and special, and it was all included with lounge access. Breakfast was decent, but had very limited selections although there was an a la carte menu you can order from. However, the buffet items weren’t always replenished unless we asked, especially towards the end of breakfast hours. Service could be a bit hit-or-miss during peak times as well as we had to flag staff down more than once just to get afternoon tea service after being seated. Still, the lounge overall was a great perk and added a lot of convenience to our stay.||Also, I wanted to comment on the wonderful Concierge team that assisted us by holding onto some baseball tickets I had pre-ordered and kept them safe for us until we arrived. That was a big help and something we couldn’t have done on our own, as the game would have sold out of the better seats by the time we landed in Japan. My older son was thrilled, and the baseball games made one of the most memorable parts of the trip possible. Thank you!!||Overall, this hotel checked all the right boxes for us. The suite was perfect for a family, the location was ideal, and the staff, especially at the lounge and concierge, helped make the stay smooth and comfortable. There were a few small service hiccups, but nothing that would stop me from staying here again. It was a great home base for our time in Tokyo, and I’d absolutely...

Our recent three-week stay at the ANA InterContinental Hotel in Tokyo was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived until the day we checked out, our experience was truly magnificent.
The opulence of the lobby and restaurants is breathtaking, setting a luxurious tone that is carried throughout the entire hotel. The rooms are beautifully modern, renovated with chic decor, and equipped with top-notch amenities. Every aspect of our stay was designed to perfection, from the luxurious pool, spa, and fitness rooms, all meticulously clean and inviting.
The quality of the food is extraordinary, offering something for everyone to enjoy. The Japanese sushi is comparable to some of the finest sushi restaurants, while the western options are equally incredible. Breakfast and afternoon tea are experiences not to be missed, with the Club Lounge offering beautifully polished and elegant design. The Steakhouse, Cascade, and Atrium restaurants also provide delicious options, along with amazing cocktails and wine selections.
The concierge, housekeeping, and dining staff were nothing short of amazing. Their professionalism, knowledge, and timeliness ensured that all our needs were met promptly and efficiently. Despite our numerous requests and calls, especially with three young children in tow, the staff always remained accommodating, friendly, and eager to assist.
Special thanks to Mori-san, the Hospitality Manager, who was incredibly professional and attentive to our needs, going above and beyond for us. Midori-san and Kiomi-san also deserve recognition for assisting us with online reservations, making the process smooth and worry-free.
The housekeeping staff was instrumental in making our extended stay comfortable. They kept our suite tidy and ensured we had everything we needed each day. Every evening, they provided turn-down services with amazing attention to detail, leaving us with clean rooms, made beds, slippers by the bed, and chocolates for the children, which they eagerly anticipated.
A special mention goes to the impeccable service in the Club Lounge. Yasuyo Shimada, the supervisor, was a delight to interact with every morning during breakfast. She, along with her outstanding team, ensured that my children and I were well taken care of. The amazing Chefs were always kind and smiling with my children and I. The consistency in service, food quality, and presentation was unparalleled. Yasuyo's dedication to excellence is evident in every detail, making our mornings a joy.
Having traveled extensively and stayed in 5 and 7-star hotels around the world, including Paris, Egypt, Germany, and Miami, I can confidently say that the ANA InterContinental Tokyo stands out as the best. The views from our room were stunning, the facilities spacious and immaculate, and the overall experience was nothing short of a 10-star rating. The hotel rivals the Ritz in its nearly perfect execution of luxury and comfort.
For anyone visiting Tokyo, I wholeheartedly recommend the ANA InterContinental Hotel. It offers a perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and impeccable service, making it an unforgettable stay for families and travelers alike. I will definitely visit Tokyo again, and I know exactly where I...
Read moreMy wife and I stayed 5 nights at ANA InterContinental Tokyo by end November. We highly enjoyed our trip this time.
This was the second time we stayed at this Hotel; our last stay was four years ago. This Hotel was established in 1986; the common area including the lobby and corridors shown the traces of time but they were still well maintained. We stayed in a newly renovated premium room which was spacious and nice. The room was comfortable, clean and tidy; these are very important as we still have to face the challenges caused by the COVID pandemic.
This Hotel is located just next to the Tameike-Sanno subway station. The closest exit #13 is just in front of the escalators connecting to the main lobby. However you have to allow 8 minutes walk from the subway platform to exit #13 and there are also climbing steps in between. If you have large luggage you should take exit #14 from which there are both elevator and escalator taking you to the ground; you just need to walk 1-2 minutes more to the Hotel. The location of the Hotel is perfect for exploring Tokyo as Tameike-Sanno Station is a connecting hub of 4 subway lines. Taking the subway to Shibuya, Shimbashi, Ginza, Shinjuku and Roppongi are all within 15 minutes so we could easily access to all the major tourist attractions in Tokyo from the Hotel.
There are over 100 restaurants serving a diverse of Oriental and Western cuisines in the iconic Ark Hills complex which is connected to the Hotel with a walking bridge. 10 minutes walking from the Hotel is the Biz Tower which is located on top of Akasaka subway station. There is a large number of upscale restaurants and bars in this calm neighborhood enable you to enjoy a relaxing meal at a time you want to avoid the buzzing and overcrowded dinning atmosphere typically found in Shibuya and Shimbashi.
The Club Lounge is huge and has a large number of comfortable seatings. There was a professional bar tender serving signature cocktails in the evening. Besides a good selection
of snacks, cheeses and pastries served at the buffet counter there were three hors d'oeuvres served to our table. The hors d'oeuvres menu was changed every day. The food and drinks served at the Club Lounge were excellent. We highly enjoyed the buffet breakfast at Cascade Café. There was a great assortment of food covering both pastries, cold cut, hot food, fresh salads and fruits. The make to order egg dishes were the best ones we ever had in Tokyo.
The concierge team was delightful and helpful recommending dinning options and making reservation for us. Without their help it was impossible for us to have such great memorable dining experience in Tokyo. All the staff working in this Hotel were very friendly and caring.
ANA InterContinental Tokyo had everything we could possibly need for our superb vacation in Tokyo this time. We recommend this Hotel to all visitors travelling to Tokyo whether it is for a leisure vacation or a business trip. We will certainly stay here again shall we come back to Tokyo...
