Floresta Kōenji — Restaurant in Tokyo

If you're looking for vegetarian donuts made with all organic ingredients in the Tokyo area, Floresta is your place.

The donuts here are perfectly sized and extremely cute! If you're thinking an American style super-sweet donut, you may have to temper your expectations - however! The icing on these provides a subtle contrast to the cake portion. Sweet, but not overly so, and perfect for a midday snack or even a meal.

Easy to find from Koenji station .. just a brief 4 mins walk to the shop. The cute donuts were much raved about on instagram - and yes, they are indeed as adorable as hyped out to be, with Christmas designs to boot. There are different designs and flavours daily so be ready to be surprised. I personally found the donuts a bit too dry for my liking, preferring fluffy sugar donuts but that's just a personal preference. We had the plain regular one, the coffee latte, and because it was New Year week, their Habu or matcha snake donut.

They are made for the Japanese palette so they aren't overly sweet like Western-style donuts. The different toppings do give each one a personality which I really like.

We had bought them for take out but would be nice paired with coffee. They do have limited seating available for those who want to eat their donuts...
