Don't hesitate to try this place. If you're considering it, and reading this review, just go. You won't regret it. Great choice!

My wife and I went late one night, thinking we were just going to have a run-of-the-mill, average Japanese curry dinner. We ended up having a fantastic and memorable meal. I will definitely be back. This place is awesome.

First thing to know, the vibe is killer. The place just has a chill contemporary decor and the music they play is so cool. I kept asking my phone to identify tracks, and it couldn't. I assume that means that everything they play is either super niche, or maybe the owner is a DJ, or who knows? But prepare to enjoy awesome tunes on the second floor, looking out a big window at the bustling street below.

They specialize not only in curry, but also in craft gin. I asked my server to give me whatever gin recommended (osusume) it was fantastic. Not only the gin, but also the presentation. The mint sprig and blood orange slice is the kind of tiny detail that elevates this place.

Let's talk about the food. We thought we were ordering two individual meals. But they brought it out as a multi course meal to share and it was better that way.

We started with fried olives. They were tempura fried and came with a mayonnaise based dipping sauce: crisp exterior, briny interior, rich creamy dipping sauce...'nough said. Texture and flavor in perfect balance. Next we had the spring rolls which were super flavorful and satisfying. Not much to say about them, but nothing to criticize either.

The steamed chicken, soft tofu, and avocado salad was off the charts incredible. A perfect balance of clean textures that was both rich and refreshing. This dish really impressed me. It's the mark of great cooking to be able to take something so subtle and elevate it to a flavor experience. Anyone can do it with bold, rich, and fatty. To do it with plain tofu, fresh avocado, and white meat chicken...that's a feat to be lauded.

We finished up with the keema curry. I love that they throw sweet corn in it. It adds a flavorful burst of juicy sweetness which compliments Forrester's impressive curry seasoning flavor. Seriously, I don't know how they do it. There are no unexpected flavors here. No fancy fusion. Just shockingly bold and distinct cumin and coriander.

I can't wait to go back and try the other curries. Are they all that good? I will definitely find out.

Go. Listen to great tunes and eat great food. This is a Nakameguro gem. I'll be bringing...

The curries are very flavorful, the quantity of meat in their respective curry is acceptable. It's overall very tasty. I like the fact that they have alternatives with more veggies than just sauces and meat. Their concept of curry combination with 2 different curries aside the white rice is interesting as you can taste 2 very different curries without mixing them, and eating it along the same rice in the middle. The service is super fast, the staff is very responsive. It seems their menu is constant, so it's not one of these restaurants that jack up prices for dinner time. Overall, a very positive experience and I dorecommend this place and will definitely come back to taste the other...

Unassuming and charming.

Found my new favourite Japanese gin here - as a result of the owner’s recommendation.

Curry - OMG.

Over 100 varieties of craft gin. All made into gin and sodas for me in a bespoke manner. Some with lemon and lime, some with...
