DONT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.
I did not realize this place has so many bad review until we sat down and the mess started to happen. The 1 star reviews you see pretty much sums up the experience at this place and no they are not exaggerating.
Food was actually decent, the atmosphere was pretty nice, but the service was such a mess.
First off, the QR code order sheet we had was for the table next to us, they sent our food to the wrong table and vice versa. They placed it wrong…
Second, completely forgot our food we ordered. Table next to us ordered the same thing but food came earlier even though they came in the restaurant 10minutes after us. We asked about it and they said its being made. Half raw beef doesnt take an hour to make…
Third, you need to order 1 drink. I dont go to bars so even if its common knowledge, i wouldnt know this rule. They told us this after I asked for water and after I already started drinking it. It wouldve been fine if they just told us that rule when we asked for water.
My standard for food and service is really low and I dont get upset at stores at all but this was actually upsetting cause it was so far below the basic standard.
They need to either hire more people or retrain their staff. The staff looked like they are running around like headless chicken, confused on what they are even doing or just not give a damn.
Which restaurant waits for their customers to go up to them and tell them they ordered 2 drinks (literally a beer and cola) 10minutes after putting in the order? They didnt check the order sheet until someone told them to.
So disappointed cause theres so much...
Read moreNot a bad place to visit if you don’t want to travel far from your airport hotel. They don’t make it easy to enjoy the experience though!! Welcome was nice enough, but little English is spoken here so you just have to blunder on and hope for the best. Ordering is via a QR code on your table, you can use their wifi to facilitate ordering. Craft beer I chose was “off” so I went with the Sapporo as the path of least resistance. They charge Yen 5,500 per person as a cover charge and like other establishments hide this behind a small plate of nibbles. Pizzas were ok to good. There wasn’t much atmosphere but in fairness it was early dinner 5 ish. Music was a solid slab of 80s pop and disco so a thumbs up there. It’s never going to be great serving a captive audience, the staff are friendly enough, service is quick but seems unfairly weighted towards the owners rather than the customers. Go here if you want food and drink for fuel...
Read moreWe came by during our layover at the Hotel Metropolitan across the street and needed a quick bite. The location is great as it’s walking distance from our hotel. It was also a large space that didn’t require a wait, which is uncommon in the Tokyo area. Service was also adequate, the staff somewhat spoke English and was able to communicate with us.
Similarly to other izakaya type places, be aware they charge a cover fee of 550 yen. I didn’t realize this was common place until later, but my bill was a lot higher than I initially expected. The food was also subpar, we ordered a prosciutto pizza where the crust was very card board like and the prosciutto was not fresh. We also ordered a sausage which was very oily and greasy. The place also felt very dirty, from the mess that was in the kitchen as well as the tables.
I’d come here if I was in a pinch but would rather have go one train stop away to get more authentic izakaya...
