Himalaya Curry — Restaurant in Tokyo

The Singha beer is about the only thing that I enjoyed about the meal I had here. Although the service was fine, I have to say that this is easily the most disappointing non-Japanese curry meal I've ever had in Japan. Normally I manage to find excellent Indian curry in Japan. This has to the DPPM (defective part per million). The chicken tikka was reheated and served bone dry. The extra hot curry was not even remotely spicy and the chicken tasted greasy and not particularly flavorful. I went to the one in Shirokanedai. Maybe the wrong day or wrong person but the worst curry I’ve had in 15 years of being in Japan. It was thick, too sweet, not flavorful at all, and the chicken was added from the shawarma tray. Tandoori was dry, not sour or fragrant at all. Beer was cold and the naan actually was pretty good. The warm service of the gentlemen working here makes for an encouraging entrance to this cozy restaurant. Strongly recommend the classic CTM and regular naan - for some reason, it is less sweet than the other naan offerings.
