HIMALAYA SINCE 1993 — Restaurant in Tokyo

I went to the shop during the campaign of their new shop, so everything on the shop is quite clean and new. The environment is pretty nice, I had a chat with the owners. They are really kind and welcome, even I got a free delicious tea when I had a chat with the owners..:-)

I went there with my wife. She ate Prawn Curry and I ate Shag Kima Curry. Every menu comes with Salad, Drink, and Rice/Nan. I also added special Cheese Nan with Garlic for our order. Prawn Curry has sweet taste which is perfect for her meanwhile I really like Shag Kima Curry because it has a bit strong taste『ちょっと濃い味』and not sweet but saltiness 『塩味』.

The salad was in a perfect portion and delicious. For drink, we drank Manggo Lassi, and I think It was very delicious. We ordered Nan instead of rice, and I think it it was the right choice. Both my wife and I agree that this Nan is very fluffy (soft) and really tasty. Once a month I went to Halal Curry Shop with my Japanese's friend around Tokyo, and I admit that this Nan is the most fluffy than the others. The other best part is: it is all you can eat Nan in other word you may ask more Nan if you need for free..:D

I almost forgot that the owner said that they also open for Full Rservation like during Ramadhan Iftar and Ied Party, or I used to call it "BukBer".

Btw, I realized when I write this comment that I did not pay a close attention to all facility in this curry shop so I cannot tell does the provide the praying...

Giving up on the voice dictation on the Chromebook, so at least there should be fewer typos this time... Not a great keyboard, however.

About 30 seats downstairs in a slightly odd arrangement because one wall is at an angle. Atmosphere feels nice, though not brightly lit. Indian decorations and the server is Bengali. Helpful with the complicated Wi-Fi password. Both of the round characters in the password are zeros. Japanese TV playing at lunchtime. The vegetarian lunch looked especially attractive, though too large for me today, but the basic lunch menu was pretty standard. Covid precautions a bit above average.

The base of the chicken curry was thick, flavorful, and spicy, though the spice scale wasn't broad. Especially tender chicken. The naan was quite good, both fluffy and heavy at the same time, which is surprising, and skillfully cooked. I want to call it just short of sweet? If I could break the naan out of the food, it might get a low five by itself, but that's not how the google does it... The salad was larger than average but the dressing was average and my hopes had been raised. The ice coffee was also above average. Overall calling it a...

A very good option for Indian restaurant with an authentic style of cooking and serving. The Naan here tastes very good. Recommended to go with the set curry, so one can have a taste of 2 different curries and a dessert, and guess what it is cheap for a whole meal compared to many other expensive...
