Very peaceful stretch of land that is actually an artificial hill constructed hundreds of dynasties ago when the parcel was in fact a palace. The surrounding stories and an article read under "The Most Haunted Places in Tokyo (2012)," stated, that people would often hear all sorts of ghastly cries and moans. Disembodied voices and the like when walking after dark.

Of course, anyone who's there long enough to sit on top of this hill overlooking Waseda University is bound to notice how cold it gets in the winter evening, even when there's no snowfall. Temperatures dip well into the lows. But on the other hand staying after dark isn't great at all either just to debunk it.

Honestly there's really nothing exceptional about the park. It's too quiet. And beautiful to notice anything extraordinary present. Certainly with the numerous YouTube videos recorded by many people citing their viewpoints on ghostly apparitions, it's definitely possible that they do exist. However, the compilations are of course numerable. Yet not one captured by this belonging to this small park. Which is questionably important because it should be evident on film or cameras.

In my humble opinion --- there must be something more ?

So, if it's as haunted as they say it is [why] isn't there anything else written on it beyond that one article. Again. Nothing newer. Oh oh. So it was just really a story write-up. Experiential. Not much more. I've had my own. It's more than the park itself. Mysterious and well, just as spooky... or spookier than...

A small hill park between Shinjuku and Waseda stations, and situated in the middle of residential blocks. There lies a rather simple forest garden with steps and winding path leading up to a hill top viewpoint. Was there during a rainy, hot summer late afternoon, so it wasn't exactly scenic per se.

Interestingly enough, rumour has it that the locals tend to shun and avoid this place (and the adjacent Toyama park) at night as it is supposedly haunted👻👻👻........ it was rumored to be a burial ground for the dead during the war times. The hill is said to come "alive" after dark and that one can hear eerie screams and shrills 👀 👀 👀... coming from the woods and echoing about. Well being the adventurous, brave man that I am 😤😤 ...... I decided NOT to stick around for nightfall to find out ....🙈🙈

If you are feeling adventurous and are into supernatural things, maybe you can...

Lovely little park with stairs leading up to a hilltop. You can tell it was built quite some time ago as portions have been reclaimed by nature, which only benefits the charm of the place.

While the view at the top is likely a decade or two past its peak, it's still quite unique and fun to explore and escape from the urban surroundings for a bit. I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to drop by, but if you're nearby or in the area, definitely drop in for a nice...
