Great burgers. The beef patty was cooked just right and there was a variety of toppings and customizations available to amp up your burger. They also offer sets with a choice of fries (various sizes), onion rings, nuggets, and salad plus a drink included. Staff was a bit slow to come to the tables and get orders down, but once the orders were put through the burgers came out quickly. The restaurant looks like it doubles as a yaki-niku restaurant, not sure the timing of it but when we came for lunch it was Hungry Heaven. Overall the price point was high, especially if you added onion rings (extra 500 yen) so I’m not quite sure I’d be a regular customer because of it. I paid over 2,000 yen for my burger which wasn’t a special one (just on the heaven standard menu) the xs french fries set and a drink. Also they’re stingy with ketchup and only give you one packet unless you ask for more. If I was plating these dishes, I’d give one packet for the xs, and two or more for the bigger sides. Common sense.

Keep in mind, they don’t take credit card, only...

This is about the Meguro Store. I've been to this place a few times and I always say the same thing, the food is good, but the service is so rude. My last visit, 3 of us were next in line to be seated. Several people left so in anticipation of being seated, we stepped into the restaurant and were ignored, until we asked if we could sit at one of the 6 empty tables, and that was enough to make the server make us, and the 12 people waiting outside in the heat, wait longer as she intentionally cleaned the rest of the tables at a snail pace. She made us wait longer for asking, then when I asked again, as meekly and politely as possible, she told me to wait there, pointing to where I should be standing. The rudeness was shocking. I'll never go back, McDonald's is a better choice. I walked out, what a...

I’ll say that Hungry Heaven is a solid burger place.

Does it have the best patty? No.

Is it greasy? Yes.

Would I eat this again? For sure.

If you’re coming to Hungry Heaven, what you’ll get is a tavern burger. It’s greasy, sloppy and just feels dirty in all of the right ways. There’s nothing pretty about a burger here but the bottom line is that with the quality ingredients, it tastes great; They use great lettuce, onions and tomatoes. Combine that with a reasonable price (I paid about 1400 yen), I would definitely come back. Two thumbs up!

Note: The bacon here isn’t really bacon (if you’re American anyways). It’s not a problem specific to Hungry Heaven though—it’s a...
