A truly authentic Japanese shabu shabu experience. From the fresh, high-quality ingredients to the rich, flavorful broth, every element is thoughtfully prepared.
We dined in a private room, where a dedicated staff member cooked for us, making the experience completely hassle-free and relaxing.
Having the staff cook for us also meant that the quality of the shabu shabu was guaranteed — no risk of overcooking or mishandling the premium ingredients. Everything was done to perfection.
One thing to note: the staff only speak Japanese, which adds to the authenticity but may be a bit challenging for non-Japanese-speaking tourists. That said, the warm hospitality and exceptional food more than make up for any...
Read moreI visited Iseju, a sukiyaki restaurant founded in 1869, for a business dinner. Despite being a historic establishment, it’s located in the basement of a modern building, and once you step inside, you’re greeted by a spacious, quiet world of private rooms. The course starts strong—bite-sized filet steak and simmered beef arrive before the sukiyaki, and they’re already showstoppers. At that point, I knew I was in for something special.

I understand some people feel uneasy about dipping beef into raw egg. But I encourage you to respect the culture and try it the same way as locals—it’s all part of the...

Appetizers were already enough to satisfy us (raw fish with onion, some meat etc, it probably varies depending on the set) but the real deal started with main dish. Sukiyaki was made by one of the Ladies. Meat was super good and tender, onion was melting in my mouth. After a few servings we got udon and then melon for a finisher. Tea at the end was a godsend. Well spend money and hands down best place...
