Japanese Gin Bar THE HISAKA — Restaurant in Tokyo

If you’re looking for an extraordinary bar experience in Tokyo, The Hisaka is a must-visit. I’ve been to many bars around the world, but this one completely blew me away. From start to finish, everything about this place was flawless.

Let’s start with the atmosphere: The Hisaka strikes the perfect balance between sophistication and warmth. The interior design is stunning, with an inviting and intimate ambiance that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a hidden treasure. The dim lighting, elegant decor, and subtle music set the mood beautifully, making it the perfect place to unwind or celebrate.

The staff? Absolutely phenomenal. From the moment we arrived, they were attentive, professional, and genuinely friendly. It’s rare to find a team that seems so passionate about what they do, but the staff here made us feel completely at home while delivering service at a level that could rival the finest establishments.

And then there were the drinks. WOOOOW!!!! Each cocktail was a masterpiece, both in taste and presentation. You can tell that the bartenders are true artists who take pride in their craft. The menu had a fantastic variety, and every drink we tried was perfectly balanced and innovative. Whether you’re a cocktail enthusiast or just looking for something special, The Hisaka’s drinks will exceed your expectations 🥹

The little details also stood out to me. From the way they presented the drinks to the thoughtful recommendations the staff offered, it’s clear that this bar goes above and beyond to provide an unforgettable experience.

We were so impressed that we’ve already made plans to come back. Honestly, I loved everything about this place, and I can’t recommend it enough. Five stars simply aren’t enough for...

2nd visit to this establishment: 10/10 both times. There is a secret cocktail bar (no spoilers) with surprising and delicious specialty beverages, but on our second visit we visited the main gin bar up front where you can enjoy gin and tonic, or gin and soda. This is the perfect way to enjoy an array of gins, and as a foreigner I have to say, JAPAN KNOWS HOW TO MAKE GINS. From herbacious to spicy to floral to fruity to earthy, each iteration was prepared with great care by the bartender. 거의 오픈할 시간대에 가서 5시부터 여는 칵테일 바는 즐기지 못했지만 진토닉과 진소다만으로도 충분히 갈 가치가 있는 바였습니다.

정말 다양한 종류의 크래프트 진이 모여 있는 바로, 만약 저처럼 진을 좋아하는 진성 송충이 분들이라면 꼭 방문해보는 것을 추천합니다. 전 이 바에 방문한 것 하나만으로도 행복한 하루였다고 자신할 수 있어요. 저는 이 바에서 총 세 종류의 진을 마셔봤는데, 셋 다 상당한 퀄리티였습니다. 아마 다음 도쿄 방문 때도 이 바는 무조건 다시 방문할 거 같아요.

또, 매장에 들어가면 그 자리에서 바로 크래프트 진을 병 단위로 구매가 가능하니 이 점도 참고하시면 좋을 거 같습니다. 전 유자 사케 진을 구매했는데, 한국에 돌아와서 진 토닉으로 마셔보니 마치 처음부터 진 토닉을 겨냥하고 만든 진처럼 조합이 굉장히 좋았습니다.

마지막으로, 바텐더 분들도 너무 친절했고, 영어로도 충분히 원활한 소통이 가능했습니다. 저처럼 일본어를 하지 못한다 하더라도 충분히 좋은 서비스를 경험할 수 있으니 너무 걱정하지 않으셔도 될 것 같습니다.

Although I couldn't fully enjoy the cocktail bar that opens at 5 PM due to arriving near its 3 PM, the gin and tonic, as well as the gin soda, were enough to make the visit worthwhile.

This bar has an impressive selection of craft gins, so if you're a true gin enthusiast like me, I highly recommend visiting here. I can confidently say that just visiting this bar made my day. I tried three different types of gin, and all of them were of excellent quality. I'm sure that on my next visit to Tokyo, I'll definitely stop by this bar again.

Additionally, you can purchase craft gin by the bottle right on the spot when you enter the store, so it's worth noting. I bought a yuzu sake gin, and after coming back to Korea and trying it in a gin and tonic, the combination was so good that it felt like the gin was made specifically for that cocktail.
