SO Iāve never left a bad review but I was super excited to come here and was definitely let down. The interior is super small and cramped but the decoration is amazing. HOWEVER, maybe I went on a bad day or something, but the owner seemed to be in a really bad mood and spoke to myself and other customers as though we were annoying himāthe overall atmosphere of the bar was super awkward. I think for most people going to this bar, they expect something a little more exciting since it is a Jojo bar after all. I am not someone to be picky about service but I think itās worth mentioning when you donāt feel comfortable or welcome to a space. This service was probably one of the worst Iāve experienced š¬š¬š¬ They have a huge extensive drinks menuāso extensive that the bar girls had to read the recipe for the drinks when ordered, which is fine, but the drinks themselves were nothing special, no garnishes (maybe a slice of lemon). I would seriously recommend this place narrow down their drink selection to a few main/signature ones so that they can focus more on the JOJO aspect of the bar, maybe by adding more garnishes, glitterāsomething. This way maybe the bar girls will be able to memorise the drink recipes and make the drinks at a quicker pace. Would also recommend that instead of playing the audio for the jojo episode playing in the background, that they play the soundtrack instead while also simultaneously playing the episode on the tv (with subtitles).
Overall, if you want to go somewhere to take some fun pictures I would recommend. Please donāt expect anything exciting or bizarre. If you have high expectations please lower them šš I would also recommend going with a friend unless you want to make friends with other jojo fans. They do charge an entrance fee which I didnāt know about until I paid my bill (around 850 yen I believe..?) and the drink prices are all around 880 yen...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst came here with my brother in December, then again on March 9th by myself. This is everything you may need to know: The bartender is always very nice, and speaks a little English, as there are usually many foreigners who come to visit the bar. There is now a menu written in English in addition to the Japanese one. The menu is very big, with many original drinks, which are usually quite strong. Last time, my third drink was especially strong, and the wonderful bartender kept offering me water. It was a little embarrassing on my end š but I was extremely grateful to him. The drinks are still very good and fit creatively with the characters/quotes/stands they are named after. The bar always looks amazing. If you're a JoJo fan, which you probably are if you're looking here, you're going to love it. The art, the figures, the drinks, everything is amazing here. Even the people are usually great company, creating an overall great atmosphere. The drinks aren't too expensive, about 800å each, but I haven't tried everything on the menu so that might vary. There are no prices listed on the menu. The bar only takes cash. There is also a service fee but that's to be expected from most places in Japan, and it's about the same as ordering an extra drink. Oh, also, there's a TV in the bar that usually plays various episodes of the anime. Only in Japanese and without subtitles. Usually doesn't play series to the end, and mainly middle episodes considered bottle-episodes, but if you're not up to date and super sensitive to spoilers, it might be something to be aware of š . 10/10. Love it. Umm......
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf you are a Jojo fan, definitely try to go. Personally, I went alone and had a good time. I just wanted to go and experience it. The bar is small, but really cute. It takes a few moments to take in all the Jojo around you. And episodes playing on a tv too.
The staff was courteous and nice. I donāt expect everyone to be friendly in Tokyo, but I appreciate it when service is done sufficiently and it was in my time there.
For the drinks, I had 3 original drinks. I donāt feel like itās overpriced, but thatās just my opinion. This was a treat and itās okay to splurge if you visit.
If you do visit, and like a sweet and easy drink. Get the 5th arc, Golden Wind, Turururu drink. For me, itās a drink to remember and Iām so glad I had that as my first one at that bar. If made right, taste like juice.
I would definitely go again, and if possible, with Jojo fans.
Lucky enough, I researched and took a chance, asked to see if there was availability through X/twitter.
Side note: Apparently you need a verified account to DM the bar, but just pay like $15 ish? For a month for Twitter temporarily, and then you can contact the bar. Unless they unblock the verification thing, thatās just the way to reserve...
