Kounan Ramen — Restaurant in Tokyo

Came here for the gyoza, stayed for everything else. We lived right next door so hitting up this place for supper was a no-brainer. Seats about 10 people, so takeout is recommended if the place is full.

6 pieces of flavourful gyoza for 500 yen, combined with the chilli oil and vinegar was perfect after a long day of exploring Tokyo. They've also got more filling options such as ramen and fried rice, and everything is made to order, so do expect a wait. English is understood and cash is the only means of financial transaction there.

I don't think I've been to a more homey all around great tasting and never miss Chinese restaurant in my life. I have only lived in Tokyo for about 9 months, and more often than not I find myself going here for dinner as I have yet to find a better place. I have had almost everything on the menu, and there isn't a single dish that I would say is better elsewhere.

Small, open kitchen with great quality food, which was so cheap considering the portions sizes. Cooked in the central kitchen of the small corner shop, there are only a handful of seats available.
