A quaint little family restaurant that serves fresh sushi and whatever is written on their daily board menu. We happened to stay in an AirBnB in close proximity to the restaurant. The mother and son team were very friendly and accommodating to my husband’s request for “cooked” sushi instead of raw ones as he had weaker stomach. We went for dinner early July last year and also celebrated my daughter’s 21st birthday (informed them in advance) and didn’t expect the Chef to bake a chocolate cake for her too!
Every items we tried were super delicious (especially the eggplants, fresh oysters, their miso soup is different from other restaurants, fried crayfish is out of the world, etc.) The nigiri sets came in 3 different prices from ¥3k to ¥5k. The recent trip in March, our third visits to the restaurant and surprisingly they still remembered my husband’s “cooked” sushi request but this time he craved for their fresh sushi and he doesn’t have any stomach issues!
Almost a year of Japanese language training, my girl can converse fluently with the mother, neighborhood patrons. We’re so thankful and appreciate their kindness. Their hospitality and joyful presence brings back a lot of regulars in the neighborhood and especially foreigners like us...
Read moreEverything you read about this restaurant is true. It may not always be open but don't let this stop you from going it is by far the best sushi I had in Tokyo, better than most of the restaurants in Toyosu fish market. I went for lunch, which is the only time they do walk ins. It appeared to be shut but you just slide open the door. I got the chirashi bowl, you get such a good variety and a great portion size, the crab meat miso soup is very generous with the meat and super delicious. This is one of the local spots and unique finds that you cannot skip if you are staying...
