KYUEI MELON PAN — Restaurant in Tokyo

a Saturday when my husband and I came to 月島 for lunch to enjoy もんじゃ. After finishing our meal, we strolled around the streets.

We were immediately drawn by the lovely aroma of pastries, and this little shop stood out among the rows of もんじゃ restaurants.

All the pastries looked delicious, and we noticed pictures of TV personalities eating their メロンパン, along with autographed signs displayed around the shop.

We were very lucky to arrive just as a fresh tray of メロンパン came out of the oven! Although we were still quite full from lunch, we decided to share one.

The メロンパン was absolutely delicious! The top was perfectly crunchy, the inside was soft and fluffy, and the best part was that it wasn’t overly sweet—just perfect! We finished it easily, even though we were full.

Next time, I’d love to try their croissants as well!

Worth the metro ride to a less touristy part of Tokyo to taste the sweet, crispy exterior and soft, chewy interior.

I fantasize about this bread. We ate it back in 2022 and it still tastes exactly the same. I cry knowing this incredible bread isn't made in my home country 😭
