Linde Kichijōji — Restaurant in Tokyo

Why is Google Maps nagging me to update this review after only a couple of weeks? There's the kernel of a decent idea in there, but the Google has become too evil to see how to do things better, is that it? Anyway, I didn't notice any changes since my last visit and the older reviews remain below. I could guess that the best way to get bargains is to catch mornings, based on the pattern of recent visits.

Much later review with old one below, as usual, since Google Maps doesn't permit better. I've been coming here long enough to be a regular customer now, but today I decided to have coffee upstairs. Nice quiet atmosphere with church music playing. Good covid precautions. I forgot to take a picture of my giant pretzel before eating it, so I'll substitute a picture of the store across the street that I wanted to review, but wasn't allowed to. Still can't raise Linde to five stars, though it's quite close and has to be at least a high four stars.

Only spotted it by accident while walking inside the covered mall, and had trouble finding it again using Google Maps, even though I knew what I was looking for. On the basis of one visit, I can only give it 4 stars, but the bread was extremely tasty and they had a number of varieties that I wanted to try. On the expensive side, but still a good...

Terrible customer service and discriminatory treatment. There were no signs or rules about phone or Zoom calls, and the café was already loud with music and customers talking. Linde German bakery is great if you miss that European taste and long for some great bread. It's located toward the west end of Sun Road, across from Seiyu Department Store. The smell of fresh baked German bread when you walk in is almost overpowering. It is moderately priced, and everything is delicious. I especially like their black bread. I have German friends that swear by this bakery....
