WARNING There are two different sets of menus and you are charged 800 yen for entry free. The first menu set has the combination of food and souvenirs featuring the maids, which is more expensive (2000 yen is the cheapest combo). The second menu set has only individual food prices. For me, they only gave me the first menu set so I thought you had to buy a combo. But then I noticed some people (non-tourists) were given the second menu set where you can order just the food. Ask for the second menu set!
So I got the cheapest combo here which includes a drink, dessert, a small souvenir (options were a keychain, bunny ears, bear ears, and a clear folder with the maids on it) and you get one photo with a maid. I got the strawberry sundae and the Oolong tea. Strawberry sundae was good and was surprised that it had corn flakes in the middle. As for the photo, they can use their polaroid camera (which is a really small picture) or they can use your camera/phone. However, they have to ask someone that works there to take the photo.
Overall the concept is interesting but very pricy. I say go for a different kind of cafe as I felt this one rips you off. This...
Read moreAdmittedly, I didn’t know what I was getting into when I went to this place. First, they charge ¥880 as a cover charge. Then they up-sell from the moment they hand you the menu. But it isn’t a menu, it’s an ad and a guide to how the place works. You have to scan the QR code to get a menu and order electronically. Our food did not come at the same time and my son’s ice cream dessert was served 5 min after his fries arrived.
Lunch was an omelette with rice and gravy and a sleeve of draft beer. That cost ¥45,000. 😳
Two things creeped me out about this place. First, it was a packed house but it was full of men. There was only 5 women in there. Second, the four young waitresses were made to wear a uniform that was so short it barely covered their butts. They spoke in squeaky voices and bounced up and down and wore their hair in pig tails yet the clientele are grown men. Three men bought “concerts” so three girls had to go up on stage, one at a time, and lip sync and dance to raunchy music. I couldn’t help but feel they were trained monkeys being made to dance. This place definitively gets two thumbs...
Read moreMy favourite branch of my favourite chain of cafes in Japan. This store has fantastic staff and a great regular client base who are always friendly and welcoming. I've always had a good time there, with staff always making a fine effort to entertain and impress Masters and Princesses that visit. Their friendly and patient attitude is always comforting, and many staff members speak good English. They always care for new Masters and Princesses and ensure that they have an enjoyable time. Don't be afraid to join in and follow the instructions of the staff! The staff even remembered me when i visited again 8 months later! Highly recommend the parfaits (especially the bear parfait) as well as my personal favourite... a giant beer. Attend during the day for a more relaxed atmosphere away from the main cafes frequented by tourists, or later at night around the weekend to wave glow sticks and party with locals! I highly suggest visiting later at night and purchasing a live show to get an experience unlike any other!!
To all the...
