The ramen was good but not outstanding. The price is similar to the other neighbouring shops. The food ordering process is a little difficult for people who can't read Japanese as there is no English translation available. I'll explain a little the queueing and ordering process as follows:
Queue in the line When it's your turn, go the machine to order your food and pay accordingly. The machine will then eject small ticket with your ordered item written. The shopkeeper will call you to go in when inside already have available seats. Give the chefs the ticket from the machine. Your food will be served accordingly. Side notes: Tissues are not supposed to be thrown inside your bowl after you finished the food. It should be thrown to the trash bin next to the machine. (This is written in Japanese and hence it is easy to be overlooked)
Do take note that both inside the shop and the alley for the queue is very small. So it is important to get the ordering process right or else, you might stuck in a situation where some other customers want to passby while you're ordering your food at the machine. And hence you'll have to go all the way to the end of the queue because the place is so small there it is impossible for you to temporarily stand at the side for the people to...
Read moreTruly a hidden gem Not easy to find but with the photos on Google we easily found the alley way. I went on a rainy weekday at 10:50 to line up. I was first to arrive but there were soon a few ppl waiting behind me. The restaurant will be full if you go at 11 as there are only 8 seats. However turnover is quick. There's only a Japanese vending machine available with no English menu. I tried the 900yen squid and chicken ramen. There's a 1100yen version with an egg and additional seaweed. Soup was brilliant with squid taste but not too salty. Chicken was tender, squid fresh and the texture of the ramen was great. This combination for ramen is quite unique and not sth you can get elsewhere. Highly recommended and will...
Read moreIt took around 45 mins to get the seats. The queuing area is terribly crowded, hot and uncomfortable.
2 chefs handled all task in the kitchen. They have no time to complete every task at all. Obviously, the meal wouldn’t be good if they rushed.
I ordered the only 2 kinds of ramen. One of the ramen is about 2.5/5. The chicken is rough and no any flavor. Soup is decent and you can find the better soup in Tokyo.
Another ramen is super bad. The port shards are served but i would say okay. Taste is decent. The most important part is the soup. It should be overcooked. I can feel the bitterness every bite of the noodle. I ate 4 bites...
