Meat Kitchen BOICHI — Restaurant in Tokyo

TDLR; price, size, and service horrible. Avoid at all costs.

If I could give this place a zero for everything but the food I would. The name is in English here but the service is against foreigners in every way possible. First, the is a charge for the appetizer of 400 yen that you do not ask for and cannot remove, and it was a bowl of green the size of an egg.

Second, when we ordered two plates of sashimi, only one came, and even after ordering it 3 times it did not arrive. Only after we finished our (miniscule) plates of the main dish did it arrive, at which point it was too late.

Third, their approach as staff to foreigners and the complete lack of anything in english despite the name here being on English was unprofessional. It would have been better to be refused service at all than to be accepted to this place (as many place do and I accept it completely).

Fourth, despite the food being well made, the largest portion is smaller than the average miso bowl.

Bottom line, avoid at all costs. Not worth...

We were staying at a hotel down the street and came across this restaurant online. What caught my attention was that the meat dishes looked delicious. After having gone to other restaurants, where we ate Wagyu beef which is just too marbled and fatty for our taste, we made a reservation and gave this restaurant a try.

We were quickly greeted and seated. The turnaround serving the food was very fast. Much to our delight, everything we had was great!!!! We ordered the large portion of sirloin steak with a side of french fries with aïoli sauce and marinara sauce. It was so good that we ordered grilled vegetables and a burrata salad. We absolutely loved our meal and saw that all the other customers seemed equally pleased with theirs. The pictures in the menu reflected what the actual dishes look like in person. Was met with a male server who looked very displeased that my family walked in. Was wondering if we came close to closing time, but noticed that was not the case. A female server helped us and she was nice. We ordered more skewers and when the male server dropped it off at our table I noticed a smell that smelled rotten. I took a deeper inhale before my kids ate it and it was most definitely spoiled. Didn’t eat that and was disappointed that they would serve that to us… knowing we were foreigners. Not a place for people who are visiting as we certainly were...
