Near Shiba Park in Minato, Tokyo, there is a highly acclaimed burger joint—MUNCH'S BURGER SHACK. Since being visited by former U.S. President Donald Trump during his 2017 trip to Japan, the restaurant has soared in popularity, becoming a must-visit destination for burger enthusiasts. From its strong ratings on Tabelog to numerous glowing online food reviews, the unique appeal of this spot is undeniable.
Located at 2-26-1 Shiba, Minato-ku, Tokyo, on the 1st and 2nd floors of the i・smart Building, MUNCH'S BURGER SHACK is just a 4-minute walk (approximately 350 meters) from Shiba Park Station. The interior is spacious and stylish, with a modern industrial design that creates a relaxed yet sophisticated dining atmosphere. Whether you're dining with friends or enjoying a solo meal, it's a great place to unwind and savor your food.
The restaurant's signature dish is the Bacon Cheeseburger. Made with house-cured, chewy bacon and a juicy beef patty, this burger offers a rich, layered flavor. Fresh vegetables and a perfectly toasted bun round out the experience, making each bite a testament to the restaurant’s dedication to quality. It's the kind of burger that wins people over at first taste. We ordered the avocado burger with combo set this time.
In addition to their burgers, the drink selection is worth exploring. Carefully chosen American craft beers pair beautifully with the burgers, enhancing the overall meal. Milkshakes and other sweet drinks offer a delightful finish, while house-made cola, ginger ale, and lemonade add unique refreshment options. A glass of red wine with your burger can also be surprisingly satisfying.
Whether you're a hardcore burger lover or simply seeking a unique dining experience, MUNCH'S BURGER SHACK. With gourmet-quality burgers, thoughtfully curated beverages, and a welcoming atmosphere, it stands out as an essential culinary stop near Shiba Park in Tokyo’s...
Read moreStumbled across this place by accident within my area, and bought Burgers for the Family - and then again later on, since the first experience was great... as too the second. So I think on my 3rd purchase sometime later, I'll do a proper write up.
However in the mean time, the overall Family view was that the Burgers were unlike others within the area. Great meat Texture (steak like mini-chunks) and a choice of how well you wished them cooked beforehand, stood out. The only downside I saw was, that they didn't persuade you from overstocking on extras which I learnt on my 1st purchase, made the bun too watery and hard to hold... a perfect balance needs to be found - but the meat is worth it.
P.S. Been going back a couple of times, noticed a "small" change (shrink-flation ... portion sizes down a bit), but otherwise quality is consistently good - not variable, but consistently good. The Staff are also consistently friendly, and do speak English a bit too.
During the COVID19 crisis best not to want to eat in, as the space was limited to start with, and now more-so, however they do provide an excellent take away service - good if you're going to eat at home, though it you're going to eat outside, I'd recommend asking for some "oshibori" (wet towels) as you will definitely need them!
14/Nov - They were packed tonight, ended up having to wait 15 mins longer than we were told, and they also forgot the condiments (Ketchup, wet towels, etc!). The Head waitress wasnt so friendly getting angry at waiting customers telling to wait downstairs in particular places too.. I'm going to give this place a skip for a bit...
Read moreWe rode a bicycle for 40 minutes under the summer heat to go try this burger. The staff took us to the first floor, there is no windows, it looks like a cave, people sitting beside each other, the table next to us feels like we are together, I asked to go to the top floor, she escorted us outside and asked us to wait outside under the summer heat even though she knew we rode a bicycle all the way to the shop and we looked tired, but who cares, rules are rules. So we decided to swallow it and sit in the cave, i was so uncomfortable and really wanted to cancel and leave but decided to be nice. Ordering the burger, the staff came and gave us a lecture, basically showing us the menu but it feels like you are subscription to an insurance, you also have to choose a drink, it is the restaurant rule and it is mandatory. I would never put my feet there again and I will make sure none of my friends will do. It is good to have rules, but it is too much guys, it is the weekend and people want to chill and enjoy some food outsude. The burger is just normal and nothing that fancy, having tried too many burger shops in Tokyo, it is really far from being that good. "wagyu to worldwide" in Kachidoki is much much better and not that far from this shop with a lot of space inside and you don't have 1000 of...
