It is clear that the chef is passionate about his craft and sharing that appreciation with his clients.

We sat at the counter, and asked for the chef’s recommendations. He made sure to check about our preferences before he started the meal.

Every course was extremely fresh, and he explained the type of fish and the origin, as well as how best to eat it (eg. soya sauce, no sauce, wasabi, grated daikon etc).

The meal started with cooked dishes and then finished with sushi.

I also ordered some sake, based on their recommendation.

Our favourite dishes included: three types of tuna seabream eel sashimi marinated in kelp uni grilled bonito

I didn’t take pictures of each dish, I was too busy eating and chatting 😝

What made this even more special is that the chef is not fluent in English but did his best to make sure we understood each dish.

Note that reservations are highly recommended as it is popular amongst returning regulars in the area.

We sat at 5 PM and didnt leave until 7:30/8 PM. We never felt rushed. He also checked with us to see how many more dishes we thought we could eat and did not just assume we were done.

When he asked we ordered 5 more dishes cause we were so eager to eat more!

Wonderful experience, we will become regulars - and given that we ate at least 18 dishes each and alcohol, the price was reasonable and worth...

I’ve visited this place several times because I love the generous drink options and the atmosphere. Despite being reasonably priced, they serve authentic and delicious red vinegar sushi, fresh seafood dishes, and a variety of à la carte items that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. Kids are welcome too, but since it’s a very popular spot, reservations are a must! As for the 3-star rating on taste—it’s purely based on my personal experience level, not because the food...

This was such a nice little sushi shop I found randomly. The staff was so nice the chef was so friendly. Even though they couldn't really speak English (not that i was expecting them to), they went out of the way to accommodate me. I loved the variety of different sushi I never tried before. Many different ones from the cuts of fish that Americans are used to seeing, but they the ones I'm use to seeing as well. It was all very fantastic. I would...
