ORIENTAL ELEPHANT オリエンタルエレファント 高田馬場店 — Restaurant in Tokyo

Just over 30 seats in a fairly standard linear layout. Booths on the left and tables on the right side. Indian music and Nepali decorations, though I didn't ask the staff where they are from. Seems popular, though no Wi-Fi or charging. (Or maybe Wi-Fi for favored customers only?)

The curry of the day was bamboo with chicken. Very tasty and tender for both, though the spice level was a bit weaker than I expected and the base was on the thin side, though nicely seasoned. Fairly standard naan and salad, and a nice soup appetizer earlier. I'm holding it at a flat four stars on the Wi-Fi question.

Google Maps seemed quite confused on the schedule, but I think I corrected it. No place for the last order time, but I was told it's the usual half hour...

We went there for lunch to meet up with an old friend. The food had nice presentation. Before we even ordered, the employee was already telling us that we needed to hurry as they get busy for lunch. This employee continued to rush us to finish our food and gave us 5 minutes to eat, long before we would have normally been done eating. There were two empty tables and no one was waiting outside and it felt that we were basically thrown out. All in all, it was not a very fun experience and we definitely would not go back. Great location & nice restaurant but...

タイ料理とインド料理のお店です。

店内がすごくアジアンな感じでおしゃれです。タイ料理推しっぽく見えるのですがタイ料理もおいしいけどインド料理の方が私はクオリティ高いなと思いました

タイ料理で頼んだもの ・アボカドサラダ これめちゃくちゃ当たりでした。普通のアボカドサラダと違いちょっとピリ辛なタイ風に仕上げてあって、レッドオニオンやひき肉、トマトなどが入ってました！普通のアボカドサラダを想像すると全然違うのですが、めちゃくちゃ美味しいのでタイ料理として頼んで欲しいです

ヤムウセン 定番の春雨サラダ！こちらもひき肉とレッドオニオンが入ってておいしい！アボカドサラダとよく似てたので、どっちかだけでもいいかも。青パパイヤサラダを頼めばよかったって思いました！美味しかったのでペロリと食べちゃいましたが笑

エビ生春巻き これも定番料理！とても細かく刻んだキャベツがぎっしりで食べ応えありました

トムヤンクン 辛さはそんなに辛くなくマイルドです。具材がたくさんで美味しかった

パッタイ 甘めの味付けでいっぱい乾燥エビが乗ってたのが嬉しかった！結構ボリュームがありお得感があります

チキンフリット 香草がすごくたくさんまぶされててザエスニックなお味！ソースと絡めて食べると美味しかったです！

インド料理

インド料理で頼んだもの ・バターチキンカレー これ絶対頼んで欲しいです！甘くて濃厚で具材もとろけるくらい煮込まれてて1番のお気に入りでした。ナンに比べると量は少し少なめなので、こんなにカレーが美味しいなら他のカレーも頼めばよかったとちょっと後悔

・チーズナン めちゃくちゃたくさんチーズが入っててボリューミー！これぞ本場のって味で大満足

・ラッシー 各種ラッシー美味しかったです。ラッシーを使ったカクテルなどもあり、珍しかったです。

今度はインド料理の配分をもっと多めにして頼みたいです！

なかなか2カ国の料理を楽しめるところってないし、リーズナブルで美味しいしお店の人も笑顔が可愛く優しい南アジア系の方でとても好印象でした！...
