I had the beef cheek stewed in red wine sauce, and I am not joking when I say it was one of the most divine and luxurious meals I've had in Japan. ❤️❤️. It is sweet and delicious. Absolutely remarkable!! I've had many delicious Japanese and other ethnic meals in Japan, and this is definitely one of the top ^^ Food of the gods ❤️
It's made even more amazing by the fact that this is a 2nd floor restaurant above a bakery, and it's available for lunchtime ^^ The meal is served with a nice green salad, and 4 different pieces of fresh bread from the bakery downstairs. The bread is absolutely delicious when eaten plain, but I recommend saving a couple slices to eat with the remaining red wine sauce - it is absolutely delicious!! The bread served for me included a piece of chewy mochi bread, French bread, a sliced loaf bread, and a raisin bread. I particularly loved the raisin bread.
I recommend an iced coffee to cut the sweetness afterward.
I am definitely going to come back ^^ I want to try the other lunch options, but it will be very hard to choose them over the beef 😂 I hope the beef continues to stay on...
Read moreIt is unfortunate that there’s no rating under one star for this place. I went to the 2nd floor for lunch and ordered pork, and the pork was pink, which was okay. But halfway through, the pork began to bleed so bad that it spread through the sauce. I told the staff and the she came back from the kitchen and explained in very fast Japanese, although she knew that I was a foreigner and not well in Japanese, that it is supposed to be that way, and asked if I wanted to warm the pork again. The staff also didn’t forget to give me the look and expression that I was the picky customer to even ask about the bleeding pork. Well, I think a simple apology would have been fine, as I’ve already lost my appetite with the blood spreading all over the sauce, but no, it was my fault to not able to eat pork blood. I truly think that this place is over-rated (especially the 2nd floor), and they really should do something with the service. The look on the staff’s face and the pork blood over my dish will be unforgettable every time I...
Read moreBread and Tapas SAWAMURA NISHIAZABU TOKYO Dinner is also recommended It’s bakery restaurant. Tapasus dishes that go well with wine are a staple of Spanish restaurants in my part of Hong Kong. If you have ever heard that Japanese bread is delicious, you should try the bread here. Because, as far as I know, it is the best bread in Japan, and the reason is that you can eat it every day.
The food goes well with wine, plus good bread, so it is very satisfying. The atmosphere is more like coming with family or friends, but since there is a counter, there are probably many customers who come alone. When I visited the restaurant, it was empty, but I recommend making a basic reservation to visit the restaurant.
On this day, I came to Tokyo right after arriving from Hong Kong without having eaten anything, so I asked for a little...
