SOJO Esperanto-Vegana Kafejo — Restaurant in Tokyo

This is an absolutely amazing restaurant, which will automatically make one feel like they are at home! The owner, Yoshinori, is an absolute gem of a human being, and one can see that he is really passionate about what he does😊 He speaks Esperanto and also really solid English. The restaurant itself has a lovely atmosphere, and the food is absolutely fantastic! You can guarantee that I will be making my back to this amazing spot and so should you😊👍

Nori runs this place, and the “someat” he cooks with is without competition the best I’ve had in Japan. The travel paraphernalia and instruments lining the walls are mostly from his personal collection, and are a testament to his love of world cultures and green movements. Nori met me in conversation and introduced me to Esperanto language/community. As a business owner it’s clear his interest lies more in being an agent of change than in profiting. He even offers every guest small gifts on their way out. I’m looking forward to eating the combo dish again the next time...
