Starbucks Coffee - atré vie Otsuka — Restaurant in Tokyo

I've been a regular customer at this location because I love the atmosphere, and usually the staff are very warm and welcoming. However, recently two different Baristas on separate mornings made me feel incredibly uncomfortable when ordering a hot coffee with a little oat milk.

When putting in my order I felt as though they were both very frustrated, annoyed, and angry with me. They made me feel like I was being very unreasonable, or like I had done something incredibly rude or wrong. It caused me a lot of distress.

It hasn't been a problem before, or at other Starbucks locations; so perhaps there is just a new policy they are trying to navigate, or they had recent customer interactions that made them sensitive to my request.

In any case, I worked at Starbucks for several years while I was in college and understand that maybe it doesn't flow with the process behind the counter despite being a simple request. Perhaps it would be helpful if there were a better way for customers to add milk to their...
